2028 Convention date!!!In a major move the LNC selected February 18-21 for the 2028 LNC Convention. Please save the date and make any preparations in your state for that change in the normal cycle.

2026 Convention
Mark your calendar for May 21–25, 2026, as we gather at the historic Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the big biennial Libertarian National Convention. This isn’t just another event—it’s the single most important gathering where libertarian activists, officials, and visionaries unite to elect our National Committee, vote on platform reforms, and chart the future direction of the party. Even in a non-presidential cycle, our convention matters—to shape bylaws, energize the movement, and flex our political muscle heading into 2028. Join us in Grand Rapids to connect with fellow freedom lovers, find inspiration, and be part of history in the making.

Membership ReportAugust 2025 – We had a slight increase.

Individual StatsCurrently $8,241.82 has been donated under the donor link https://lp.org/darrdonorI have also worked hard on Project Archimedes/Parity Project that has received a max donation of $44,300.Previously I averaged 3-4 daily meetings for the party. I have now dropped the daily average to two daily meetings. I’m needing to make things more manageable for my family.I have called in excess of 1,000 people for the party but I don’t keep a precise count as I’m doing this work for free. I can get out 30-45 calls in an hour depending on if I’m just leaving messages or if I actually get a person that answers. I’m not a professional call center, so this is just what I can do myself for free.I was also able to recruit a new commission based fundraiser. I will be following up and helping to mentor people in this position when I can in the future.

Meeting Votes20250824 – LNC Meeting – On my Anniversary because of course we have to call meetings on all my important life events this year.FSC – Voted yes to appoint Jessi Cowart and Doug KnebelVoted No on all the stuff to kick the can down the road on votes.Voted Yes. Resolution 1 and 2
20250824 – Excom MeetingVoted Yes. LPAR Petition drive 10k.
20250907 – LNC MeetingVoted yes to adopt Overwatch/Operator Program. Though as the guy on the LNC to do most work in these related areas lately, I still have implementation questions.Abstained on vote for 2028 Convention. I was ready to support either outcome.Voted yes to appoint Watkins to EPCC.Voted yes to appoint Melissa Wong to ASC respecting the Committee Chair’s recommendation in that area.Voted Yes on Policy manual change.Voted Yes on Donation page motion.Voted Yes on C&D letter. Letter has been sent.Voted Yes to authorize 5k in expenses (filing and travel) for pro bono legal support of New Mexico affiliate against the state relating to ballot access.20250912-01 Email Vote Censure LPNHI voted Yes. LPNH is free to say what they want and we are free to distance the LNC from it. As the one guy actively contacting membership in large scale through my calls, membership meetings, emails, and surveys — I can say their statements have materially impacted the party and distancing ourselves from them is warranted above anything else from any other affiliate.20250912-02 Email Vote CSC AppointmentI voted Yes for Matt Johnson.20250920-01 Excom MeetingI voted Yes for Dismiss Vest v. LNC. This lawsuit is not in the best interest of the LNC.I voted Yes for recommending the LNC join as co-plaintiff in New Mexico ballot access litigation.20250923-01 Email Vote Rescind JC ResponseI voted No. The JC appeal is yet another bite at the apple to remove the SIC report and resolutions concerning the wrongdoing of the former Chair Angela McArdle. The arguments made are very poor and don’t require the time of the Judicial Committee if it is out of the Judicial Committee purview or does not technically apply to the LNC.20250923-02 Email Vote Dismiss Vest v. LNCI voted Yes. This lawsuit is not in the best interest of the LNC and all possible relief in the lawsuit has been achieved outside of the lawsuits actions.20250923-03 Email Vote Join New Mexico ballot access litigation as co-plaintiff.I voted No. I gave my reasons on the list for my change in my vote but for those that don’t follow that boring drama I will summarize it. We had pro-bono support from the LNC Counsel that would have come free of charge not counting to billable hours. Members of the LNC have been publicly defaming our contracted Counsel in violation of their fiduciary duty and prior professional norms. This can all be seen on the public list. Under that hostile environment the pro-bono support was withdrawn. Complaints about staff have proper channels and should go there. I will try to see if there is some way to salvage what is going on here. It was really disappointing with the time I have placed into this up to this time.
