The Online Happy HourJoin Libertarians starting at 5PM Eastern Time every Friday for a virtual Happy Hour!
It’s okay to join late — there is no set end-time. It might be 1AM or 7AM or maybe even later. Happy Hour typically runs from 5PM Eastern on Friday until 11PM Eastern on Saturday. Most people join on Friday night, but often the conversations run late and into the next day.
There are simple rules for Happy Hour:Each person enters with their name in their profile and with their camera enabled to validate that they’re a human, not a bot (stupid bots!).Don’t be a jerk — it’s happy hour. Emphasis on “happy”If you’re not a Libertarian, that’s okay, but understand you’re walking into a den of LibertariansIf you’re a Libertarian, be nice to the newbies.Don’t record happy hour. It’s not much fun when people are recorded. This is for fun, not politics. When sharing pre-recorded or externally-streamed content, please use a breakout room and invite people to participate in the shared content; unless the majority of people in that room agree to consume the content.
When there are a lot of people in the main room, there are usually breakout rooms available for side conversations on specific topics. Also, making use of the “raise hand” functionality is a good practice in larger rooms. Try not to talk-over people, but also be patient with accidental over-talking caused by the slight delay seen with any conferencing platform.

Upcoming state conventions

Dates based on information sent to me. For corrections please email pa*******@**.org I’m sure many conventions are going to be announced as soon as I send this newsletter.
 2026 Convention
Mark your calendar for May 21–25, 2026, as we gather at the historic Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the big biennial Libertarian National Convention. This isn’t just another event—it’s the single most important gathering where libertarian activists, officials, and visionaries unite to elect our National Committee, vote on platform reforms, and chart the future direction of the party. Even in a non-presidential cycle, our convention matters—to shape bylaws, energize the movement, and flex our political muscle heading into 2028. Join us in Grand Rapids to connect with fellow freedom lovers, find inspiration, and be part of history in the making.
Attention: The Amway Grand Plaza Hilton’s rooms for Wednesday night have already sold out. Please get your room reservations soon before the others fill!
